As clear as mud for Chloe

This June, esa’s Chloe Bowley will climb, crawl, and slide her way through a multitude of muddy obstacles for Cancer Research UK.

On Saturday 1st June 2019, Chloe will take on the Windsor Pretty Muddy 5k to help Cancer Research raise valuable funds for life-saving research. The obstacle course at Royal Windsor Racecourse takes place across a mixture of tarmac and grass travels between the Racetrack and the River Thames, before looping back to the Racecourse front lawn.

Chloe will have to negotiate mud and obstacles such as a giant inflatable pit, a climbing net, spiderweb, tunnels, wrecking balls, and the finale – a mudslide.

Chloe’s story

On the 30th October 2018, Chloe’s biggest fear in life happened. Her mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

“It’s the worst thing any parent, child, brother, sister, grandparent or partner could ever hear,” recalls Chloe. “My mum has played the role of both mother and father to me and my brother our whole lives. She’s done an outstanding job. This was not something we as a family were prepared for.

“The thought of knowing our Mum has something incurable is the most heart-breaking thing I have ever experienced. It’s now my turn to take care of her and make her proud. That’s why I’m taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy Event to help raise money and help save lives.

“The Cancer Unit at Royal Berkshire Hospital has been incredible. I can’t thank them enough for potentially saving her life, and what they continue to do for her each day.

“By helping me reach my goal of £500, you will help save lives. You’ll maybe even save families the heartache we’ve had to endure. Any donations are greatly appreciated.”
